Existing site UX was extremely poor with outdated components that not only didn’t match the updated brand visual style, but were a pain point for our content editors who required these in their day to day page building.
After testing the new proposed layout and drastic change of replacing a single hero with four, external testers yelded positive results. Making the site even more user friendly I proposed the idea of having a single sign on system and a set of flexible components to be used across heroes, tiles, audio/ video players for talking books and podcasts thus also cross promoting different areas of the business in others sections.
